Sober Living Homes

LA Treatment Center has sober living and transitional living homes across Southern California. Our homes are safe, drug and alcohol free environments in which peers support each other in their sobriety and learn new ways to cope with problems and conflict. Because inpatient drug rehab is just the start of recovery, often times sober-living homes help people further develop healthy coping skills and daily habits to prevent relapse.

LA Treatment Center’s sober living homes encourageclients to use our program as an additional form of support after drug or alcohol treatment. Drug and alcohol abuse are behaviors that develop over time. Even after individuals form new habits, a supportive network of friends and positive role models help them to maintain a drug-free lifestyle.

While completion of a treatment and detoxification program is a positive first step, sobriety is something that has to be continuously monitored in recovery. Since addiction stems from a complex web of social, psychological, genetic, and environmental factors, recovery is subject to the same difficulties.

Our sober living program helps to minimize, if not erase, some of those difficulties by providing a safe living environment, where recovery and sobriety are paramount. Social and environmental temptations are controlled through strict rules, like curfew, visitor restrictions, and a healthy home life. Psychological factors are worked on through regular therapy. Attending a sober living home is one of the best steps to take after treatment because they do everything in their power to help recovering individuals.

Our homes are designed to provide a way for those coming out of rehab, involved in outpatient treatment programs or leaving incarceration to build self-esteem and accountability and put into practice routines and strategies that will enable them to live on their own, drug or alcohol free.

Why Sober Living

Why Sober Living at LA Treatment Center?

Statistics show the people who leave a treatment facility to return home, have a relapse rate of 90% in the first year. That percentage is cut to 50% after just three months in sober living. The longer one is able to remain in sober living, the better their chances of maintaining sobriety.

The majority of people who use sober living as a tool after residential treatment find that long-term sobriety is easier to maintain and that the social network and friends they meet in sober living end up being supportive, long term friends. People choose to stay at our sober living homes for longer than required because it is a fun, supportive, loving and familial environment.

We work with men and women seeking assistance in early recovery, who are serious about their sobriety, who wish to surround themselves with others with like-wise goals, and who want success in recovery.

We are ready to assist you in finding a sober lifestyle community that will meet your individual needs and help keep you sober long after you’ve finished recovery.
